Silver pin with gilt spherical head, and decoration of filigree wire forming trefoils (three circles around a central granule, within a larger circle made of two concentric filigree wires), and granules within small circles of filigree wire. At the top of the head a single granule sits within a small filigree circle. A wide band of filigree/cablework encircles the girth of the head, disguising the seam join for its two hollow halves. Two small holes at one point may be for a small ring, now missing, suggesting that a chain may have been attached to the pin. The pin shaft is very regular and appears drawn. The point is missing. The gilding has worn away from some of the silver beads and filigree and shows as a dark metal.
