(7025gt) : Built 1942 as EMPIRE FOREST by John Readhead & Sons Ltd., South Shields, for MoWT, managed by Smith, Hogg & Co, West Hartlepool (Burn Line). 1944 – Managed for MoWT by Cayzer, Irvine & Co. 1947 – Sold to Clan Line Ltd., and renamed CLAN ALLAN. 1958 – Chartered to Bullard, King & Co., London, and renamed UMTALI. 1959 – Returned to Clan Line Ltd., and reverted to CLAN ALLAN. 1961 – Sold to Mullion & Co., Hong Kong, and renamed ARDSIROD. She was broken up at Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 1966. (MarinersList.co.uk)
