Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Base in a fabric with little filler; the colour varies between grey on the exterior surface and pink on the base. Internally there is a dark-green glaze. This piece might possibly be part of an open lamp; Jope illustrates a series of these from Oxfordshire Jope 1950, fig 21) many of which have internal glaze although that which most resembles our piece (ibid no. 3) is unglazed.
