Early Medieval human remains
This is the moderately preserved (over 75%) inhumation burial of a Middle Adult (25-44 years) who's sex is undetermined
They were buried in a simple grave orientated Northwest-Southeast. They were interred in a supine flexed position. Flexed burials are very rare in the Five Mile Lane cemetery, representing only around 4% of the individuals. This person was buried lying on their back but with both their legs bent at the hips and knees slightly flexed to the right.
The burial is from Phase M: 995-1122 AD
