Albert Medal, Land, Second Class (No. 34). Bronze Albert Medal awaded to Rees Thomas, a collier at Penrhiwfer Colliery. Oval in shape with inverted 'A' and 'V' in centre with red enamel surround, around which words 'FOR GALLANTRY IN SAVING LIFE ON LAND' inside a garter surmounted by a queen's crown with loop suspension and a crimson and white silk ribbon. In original red box with inscription in gold letters stamped on top of cover.
