Built 1945 as AMACURO by Bethlehem-Fairfield Shipyards Inc., Baltimore, (with twin-screws and triple-expansion engine) for Creole Petroleum Corporation, Panama (subsidiary of Standard Oil Co, New Jersey).. 1956 – Transferred to Esso Petroleum Co., and renamed ESSO CHELSEA,under the British flag. Used for distribution of oil from Fawley Refinery to CEGB power stations around the UK coast. She was broken up at Bruges in 1969.
