Finger ring of Type VI with pale green plasma intaglio in very good condition. Depicts the Dioscuri standing towards the front and facing each other. The god on the left holds a spear in his left hand and a sword in his right, a chlamys over his right arm; the other bears his attributes in the opposite hands. Above each figure is a star.
This ring dated 200-250 was found near Pentre, Rhondda. At about this time the Emperor Severus permitted solders to wear gold rings.
