The King seated on a plain pillared throne, the upper portion only scalloped; above two amorini hold an indistinct circular shield of arms beneath a tasselled canopy; the monarch’s feet rest on a narrow cushion placed on a circular projecting footboard; his left hand holds an orb, his right hand a sceptre. To either side of the throne, at the base of each pillar is placed an eagle looking outwards, by each pillar stands a classical female figure also looking outwards, beyond are dext. a lion sejant supporting a flag of many folds depicting the cross of St George; sin. an unicorn with lance supporting a flag charged with the cross of St Andrew.
