‘The clamp consists of a pair of curved wooden jaws, with a short piece of wood between them at one end. The top edges grip leather and are kept together by pressure between the knees as well as their own ‘spring’. They are used for holding the work neat near the seam when sewing. Used in a boot making workshop.
