Roman samian bowl
Two Southern Gaul samian bowl sherds of form Dr37. The first has a pinkish fabric with a worn red gloss. There is a double frieze - the upper is probably freestyle animals and the lower is a plain winding scroll with spirals and rosettes. The second is in better condition - a dark, brownish-pink ware with glossy red slip. The border looks like a plain straight line. There is a boar to the left over a grass tuft.
Dr 37 is a hemispherical decorated bowl
