Teapot and cover, earthenware, of oblong or 'London shape', standing on an oblong foot rim, rounded oblong body with raised ribs at the corners, upper rim of flange gadrooned and moulded at the corners with anthemions; domed cover with anthemion moulding and gadrooned oblong finial; scroll spout with anthemion moulding to upper side; oblong handle; transfer printed in underglaze green with the 'swan' pattern, consisting of a swan on water, a fountain, a flying bird, flowers and rococo ornaments within a rococo style floral and foliate border, floral pattern to flange, above a dentilled border, floral sprays to cover and finial, handle and floral motifs to upper and lower spout.
