Built 1944 by Bethlehem-Fairfield Shipyard, Baltimore ( engine by Filer & Stowell Co., Milwaukee, Wisconsin) for MoWT as SAMINDORO, managed by Headlam & Son, Whitby). 1947 – Sold to Rowland & Marwood Steamship Co Ltd,(managed by Headlam &Son), Whitby, and renamed SANDSEND (2). 1956 – Requisitioned by the UK MOT as a store ship during the Suez Crisis, then returned to her owner. She was broken up at Taiwan in December 1967.
