ss EMPIRE FREETOWN (7131gt) : Built 1945 by Burntisland Shipbuilding Co Ltd., for UK's Ministry of War Transport. 1946 : Sold to B.J. Sutherland & Co Ltd of Newcastle and renamed INVERNESS. 1953 : Sold to Turnbull, Scott & Co Ltd (London) and renamed REDGATE. 1963 : Sold to Compagnia Marvalia Navigazione SA, Panama, and renamed AGIA ELPIS. 1967 : Sold to Southern Cross Shipping Co Ltd, Cyprus. She was scrapped at Shanghai in July 1968.
