Teapot, caneware, oval form with flat base, straight sides, flat shoulder and slightly raised lip-rim, cannon spout, high ribbed loop handle with foliate moulding at the shoulder and lower terminal, round domed cover with to the centre a 'Widow of Zarapheth' finial surrounded by a band of raised overlapping ovals, a pierced steam hole to one side, decorated with a broad band of engine turning around the lower body of the teapot with four groups of applied classical figures above and a band of raised overlapping ovals around the shoulder, blue enamel lines around the body, shoulder, lip-rim and handle of the teapot and the rim of the cover, the tip of the spout painted blue.
