Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Teapot, soft-paste porcelain, standing on a very short cylindrical foot-rim, globular body, cylindrical lip-rim, short slightly curved spout, scrolled loop handle with foliate moulded shoulder and thumb-spur, round domed cover with flat collar-like rim and nipple shaped finial, a pierced steam hole to one side of the cover; painted in underglaze blue with to the sides of the body a Chinese-style scene showing a small figure crossing a bridge with rocks and foliage to one side and a spreading willow tree to the other, narrow border to the shoulder of alternating panels with hatching and scrolls, scrolling motifs to the spout, feathery leaves to the handle, to the top of the cover the same scene as on the main body of the teapot, to the rim of the cover the same border as to the shoulder of the teapot, to the top of the finial a cobweb-like motif, the teapot cracked and repaired.
