Post-Medieval clay pipe
Complete clay pipe bowl, no stem. Pointed spur at 40 degree angle to bowl. Outer surface of bowl decorated in relief. Pronounced mould seams on front and back of bowl. decorated with single vertical band of leaves. On left side of the bowl are initials 'S.R' in large Roman capitals, surmounted by a nine-point star. Another star, worn and faint sits below the initials. On the other (right) side of the bowl is a 9 petalled flower above a 3-eared wheat sheaf.
