Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Two movement pot crane from Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant. Plain vertical shaft and horizontal arm hinged on a wall bracket. It has a double curved brace with eleven studs and a pivotted adjustable lever. Pot-chain consisting of eleven links, suspended from end of lever and held in position by an iron shield. These were common in Wales from the 1600s until the 1950s. They allowed pots to be moved closer or further away from the fire.
