Burndept Electronics Ltd (Manufacturer)

Police radio channel transceiver. Burndept Dymar model BE600. Rectangular metal case painted dark blue with ribbed surface on each side (some paint chipped). Clip attached to one side for wearing on tunic, with small window for viewing list of 6 channels. Edges painted gold/cream colour with Home Office logo on one side and "BURNDEPT" company logo on the other. Black, red and grey plastic top section contains controls including volume and channel selector. Piece of clear tape with the number 17 attached. Silver metal base with black plastic recess in centre. In use in the1980s. Manufactured by Burndept Electronics, Kent.

Formerly part of Gwent Police Museum collection.
