Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Wholecloth quilt given to the Rev. and Mrs Gwynfa Thomas on their wedding, and subsequently used in Mumbles. The quilt was made by an unknown quilter from the Maesteg area in about 1924-6.
Top cover of royal blue cotton sateen, with a back of orange/yellow cotton sateen. Quilting motifs consist of four heart shaped leaves in centre, surrounded by more leaf designs. Inner border is filled with beech leaf design, with circle in each corner. Outer border has series of hearts and spirals with large circle in each corner.
