Early Medieval human remains
These are remains from the Inhumation burial of an Older Middle Adult (25-45 years) who was probably Female. She was buried in an extended supine position in a simple grave oriented West-East.
The burial is from Phase C: 401-659 AD
Her teeth had evidence of calculus, caries, abscesses, periodontal disease and tooth loss, all indicating poor oral hygiene. She also had Dental Enamel Hypoplasia, indicating a period of interrupted development during childhood due to trauma, disease, or nutritional deficiency. Her bones showed signs of Degenerative Joint Disease.
The burial is associated by proximity with SK128, SK150, SK184, SK188 and SK189.
