Teapot, gritty white stoneware, round-ended oblong form with waisted oblong foot, straight sides sloping inwards at the shoulder, raised neck and flaring lip-rim, plain curving spout, double-curved loop handle with raised thumb-spur, the two longer exterior sides moulded with a raised pattern of strawberries and leaves, a raised moulded vine pattern around the exterior neck, wide moulded cabled bands around the top and bottom of the exterior sides, a moulded cabled band repeated up both sides of the spout, the shoulder of the handle moulded with a raised leaf, oblong domed cover with a moulded cabled band around its sides, to the top of the cover a flower head finial and pierced steam hole to one side; decorated with blue bands around the foot-rim, lower body, the shorter exterior sides, shoulder, lip-rim, spout, handle and the sides of the cover, the flower head finial picked out in blue, the rest of the teapot and the cover left a greyish white and smear-glazed.
