Plate, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain, with a green translucency; standing on a foot rim curving into flared spreading sides; in the centre, transfer printed in pale sepia enamel with an arrangement of shells, including a large cowrie and cockles, on a bed of seaweed; gilt band to lip, and an inner gilt line around edge of well.
