Born in Birmingham (1865) Lived in Merthyr 1866-85; London 1885-87; Cardiff 1887-90. Moved to India (Calcutta and Darjeeling) until 1927 when he returned to live in Surrey. Brother to the artist G. F. Harris (who was grandfather of the presenter Rolf Harris).
