Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Plate, buff coloured earthenware, circular shape with inset base, curving sides and spreading rim; covered all over with a white tin-glaze which is very pitted underneath, this then painted in blue with to the centre of the well a Chinese-style design of a dog-like animal standing on a square mat over three large leaves with to one side a vase issuing spreading flowers and foliage, the sides of the well and the rim covered with a mottled pale blue ground against which are four large and four small ornamental reserves, the larger reserves painted with urns, the smaller ones with stylized flower heads, around the underside of the plate a band of alternating circles and dashes, the glaze worn off around the rim.
