¾ port bow view of S.S. J. DUNCAN, about 1936.
The J. Duncan was owned by J. T. Duncan & Co. of Cardiff. Never a large firm, they operated a number of small steamers in the trades to the Bay of Biscay and on charter to the Admiralty as fleet colliers. This 1,832 gross ton vessel was built at Dublin in 1914 and traded until 1956 when she was sold for breaking up at Milford Haven.
