Cup and saucer
Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Cup and saucer of soft-paste porcelain with creamy-white translucency. The cup standing on a tapering foot rim, with curved sides and a plain loop handle; painted round the outside with three sprigs of small flowers, with a fourth inside the bottom, and with an isolated leaf to the left of the handle disguising a glaze fault; the rim and foot lined in gilt; worn gilt decoration on the handle. The saucer standing on a tapering foot rim, with curved sides; painted with four small floral sprigs, with two isolated spots of green to disguise glaze flaws; the rim edged in gilt.
