Table flags formerly on the desk of David Hughes, the last Head of the European Commission Office in Wales (2012-2020). Wooden circular base with miniature national flags of 27 European Union Member States (2007-13), surrounding the European Union flag in the centre. The flags include Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Acquired from the European Commission Office in Wales following its closure in Feburary 2020. On 31 January 2020, the United Kingdom left the European Union. As a result, the European Commission Representation in the UK ceased all activities on 1 February 2020, meaning that its Office in Wales closed. The closure of the EC Office in Wales marked the end of a 44 year presence in Cardiff (1976-2020).

Circular wooden mount with central hole to hold the EU flag, surrounded by 27 holes around the circumference of the circle to hold flags of 27 member states. The flag poles consist of a thin metal rod of copper alloy, topped by a rounded finial. The poles slot into the holes in the wooden base. The flags designs are printed onto a stiff white tabby woven synthetic fabric. The sides have a double turn-back which, at the pole end, is wide enough for the pole to slot through. The horizontal edges have a single turn-back. The machine stitches are carried out in a variety of colours to blend in with the flag's design: white, black, blue, red, green, yellow. The flags of two countries are upside down: Poland and Lithuania.

In clockwise direction, the flags are arranged as follows: UK, France, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Cyprus, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Belgium, Malta, Ireland, Portugal, Estonia, Netherlands, Italy, Finland, Latvia, Germany, Lithuania, Greece, Luxembourg, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary.
