Figure group of Queen Victoria and ?Napoleon III standing side by side, white earthenware with a lightly crackled, blue tinted glaze, on an oval base inscribed in gilt raised capitals. Figures largely white and gilt, Queen on left in royal dress of a wide skirted dress with three tiers fringed in pink, a gilt cord around her waist and hanging down in front of her and ending in a gilt tassel, a white and gilt sash across her chest from her left shoulder, white low cut bodice with ?fringing around the neckline, necklace, black hair and eyes, floor length black spotted ermine robe across her shoulders, white and gilt crown. Napoleon III? in royal dress of black shoes, white trousers, an orange high necked jacket buttoned under the neck over a white waistcoat with a scalloped edge and patterned with gilt dots, white sash across chest from left shoulder, white buttons and tasselling, long pink robe over shoulders with a wide black spotted fringe, narrow black hair and a black beard. Both figures standing on a green and brown ground underpainted in yellow that runs on to the vertical part of the plinth, the Queen with her right arm across her waist, and her left arm resting on her dress over her thigh, Napoleon? with right hand on thigh and left arm at waist resting on a sword with a yellow handle and grey scabbard banded in yellow.
