Haynes, Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1802 - 1810)
Pearl-glazed earthenware tripod vase in the Egyptian style, base and cup wheel-thrown. Circular disk base, grooved at top and bottom, on which a centrally placed lotus bud with six radiating spurs surrounded by three equally spaced term figures or monopodia, each with claw foot, scroll topped pillar, and Egyptian head dress, and supporting, at the head, a hemi-ovoid shaped cup. Base, figures, and lower half of cup including central band of ribbing glazed dark blue, upper part of cup painted with a continuous pattern of red scrolls and light green anthemions.
