3 samian bowl sherds - forms Dr37 and Dr29. S26 is a thin orange/pink ware with the remains of a good red gloss. Lower zone was probably small straight godroons and the upper is quite a delicate scroll with spiral and rosettes. S27 is a deep pink fabric with very little of the red gloss remaining. The upper scroll has cuneiform spurred leaves. Possible wreath beneath but too worn to tell. S28 is the base of a typical large southern Gaulish sherd of pink ware are red gloss, mostly worn off on the exterior.Large, low footring. A plain small chevron below.

Notes: Field adjoins the south-west side of the legionary fortress : 'A' material is from Courtyard House (Civil Settlement). Context: cutting KL (E half) - occupation and unstratified.
