Mr W.Jenkins of Mamihilad, near Pontypool, competing at the Annual Ploughing Match and Show organised by Monknash and District Agricultural Society at East Monkton Farm on 12 October 1927. With his team of horses he had won 59 championships out of 60 events. At the ploughing match he was beaten by David Thomas, Llanharry.
