Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and slightly domed upperside with flat top; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'Revenge', showing an interior scene with the figure of a young boy seated at a table surrounded by lobster shells and holding a further lobster in his hand, around the bottom of the scene is printed the inscription "REVENGE", the print extends to the edges of the lid with no border enclosing it.
