Cup, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, rounded curving sides, plain loop handle; the exterior of the cup and the handle covered with a light brown ground in imitation of wood against which is reserved to the front of the cup a rectangular panel left white and finely painted in black monochrome with a rural landscape with a house and trees, to the bottom of the scene is an inscription which may read "Hastrom pine" but which is too small to be easily made out, gilt edges to the foot-rim and lip-rim. The body of the cup broken and repaired. Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, rounded curving sides; the upperside of the saucer covered with a light brown ground in imitation of wood, against this is reserved to the centre of the well a rectangular panel left white and finely painted in black monochrome with a rural landscape with buildings and trees by the side of a river, across the bottom of the scene is an inscription in black which is too small to be made out, gilt bands around the foot-rim and lip-rim.
