Lecture notes by Siân James title ‘Greetings from S. Wales’, undated but about May 1985. Mentions South Wales NUM return to work, ‘sacked miners’, charges against three strikers accused of killing a taxi driver, closure of Bedwas and St Johns and the treatment of strike breakers at Aberaman Phurnicite Plant.
Siân James stated that “I tended to do preparatory notes, then get on the stage and speak from the heart, I have never managed to stick to a pre-written speech”.
