Teapot, white smear-glazed stoneware, shaped oval form with straight sides, concave shoulder and raised gallery, curving spout moulded with enfolding acanthus leaves around the base, square-shouldered loop handle with a raised thumb-spur, sliding oval domed cover with to the top a finial modelled in the form of a reflexed flower; decorated in relief with an acanthus border around the lower body and another body of acanthus leaves interspersed with blue-bell like forms around the shoulder, the gallery made up of a pattern of interlocking circles enclosing daisies, a border of foliage around the sides of the cover, to either side of the body of the teapot an oval panel painted with a landscape in polychrome enamels and flanked by panels of moulded vertical foliage, the teapot and cover also decorated with raised blue enamel lines.
