Briton Ferry, photograph

Remains of floating iron lock gate at Briton Ferry Dock, 1985. The photograph is looking north from the south side of the entrance into the partly infilled inner dock. The southern approach viaduct of the A48 Neath River Crossing is visible in the background. The dock including its single floating gate was built to the design of Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
