Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
A windsor armchair
once owned by Rees Jones, who used to live at Tirphil, Gelli-gaer. He used the chair when a small boy in about 1875. Although we don’t know who made the chair, it is likely to have been a local carpenter or wheelwright. The chair was donated to the Museum over 30 years ago so that other children could see what sort of chairs were used by their great-great grandparents.
