Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
2 conjoining samian bowl sherds of Central Gaulish, good hard o/p ware with an excellent glossy orange/red slip. The form is basically that of a Dr31, with a very neat beaded rim, but there is an external shallow groove 6mm wide and interior quarter-round moulding at the wall/base junction. A sort of Dr 15/17/31! The moulding on the interior appears to be an applied cordon, not an integral part of the vessel. From the fabric this would be early Antonine - probably before the mid 2nd century, about 150.
