Built 1943 as FORT TICONDEROGA at United Shipyards Ltd., Montreal, for MoWT (managed by Chellew Navigation Co., Cardiff – and by Cunard White Star Ltd., from 1946). 1948 – Returned to the Canadian government – sold to Ivor Shipping Co, Montreal and renamed IVOR ISOBEL (managed by Quebec Steamship Lines Ltd). 1956 – Sold to Novor Shipping Co., London and renamed NOVOR ISOBEL (managed by Chandris Ltd). 1958 – Sold to Ocean Tramping Co., London and renamed HEREFORD. 1959 – Sold to the People’s Republic of China and renamed HO PING 51. 1967 – Renamed ZHAN DOU 51 (same owner). 1985 – Reported broken up in China.
