S.S. HEKTOR, glass negative
¾ Port bow view of S.S. HEKTOR entering Cardiff Docks.
(5243gt) : Built 1921 by Hong Kong & Whampoa Dock Co Ltd., Kowloon, for Bruusgaard, Kiøsterud & Co., Drammen. 1940 - Placed under German control. She was badly damaged by a British aircraft attack while at Sandefjord on 28 March 1945. She was returned to her Norwegian owners in May 1945. 1951 - Sold to Skibs A/S Myken, Oslo, managed by Simonsen & Astrup. (same name). 1959 - Sold to United Mineral Trading Co., Monrovia, and renamed ROTEK. She was broken up at Yawata, Japan in May 1959. (skipet.no/skip/fleetlister)
