Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Rosette, made from red synthetic ribbon (width = 2.5cm); ribbon is pleated and surrounds a circle of card which has been adhered to the centre (over the inner edge of the ribbon). 2 lengths of the same ribbons are also adhered underneath the card and hang down by c. 10cm. The card has a red mock-leather surface and is printed in gold capital letters: Treharris & District Canine Society: Best in Show (awarded for best dog in show by Treharris and District Canine Society) A second circle of card (thinner than front) has been adhered to the reverse. This card hold in place a brass hook (which pierces through the card).
