Cup of soft-paste porcelain with slightly green translucency and 'moons' (spots of lighter translucency); opaque creamy glaze; standing on an inset base with ground edge, with curved fluted sides and scalloped rim, an elaborate scrolled handle with inner spur and scroll-form thumb rest; painted round the outside with a naturalistic flower spray, isolated flower sprigs, leaves and a ladybird, on the inside of the base an isolated flower sprig, the rim edged in chocolate brown; traces of a now removed second handle, glazed over and enamelled.
