Oval painted photograph of Elizabeth O Brien’s grandfather, Albert Thomas Evans in uniform. He was born in 1892 in Magor and enlisted in the Royal Field Artillery as a driver in 1915. He served in Mesopotamia and was discharged in April 1919. He died in 1926. His Army number was 105158.
