Pharmacy jar

Waisted pharmacy jar or albarello, standing on a small foot, interior with a yellow glaze, the exterior with a pale blue glaze (berettino) tin-glaze, the waist encircled with an inscription and strapwork terminal, body painted with a ground of foliage in blue above and below, reserved above the foot with an oval medallion containing a yellow and a green entwined snake; glaze shrunk back and foot and fritting at neck.
