Built 1921 by Blyth Shipbuilding & Dry Docks Co., Blyth, as SHEAF GARTH for Sheaf Steam Shipping Co. (W.A.Souter & Co.) Newcastle. 1937 - Sold to Angel, Son & Co., Cardiff and renamed BRAMWELL. 1940 - Sold to Gibson & Co., Leith, and renamed GLENDINNING. She was torpedoed on the 5th July 1944 by U.953. The ship broke in two and the fore section sank immediately, but the stern stayed afloat for some time and eventually sank a mile further on, off the coast of Brighton. Two crew and two gunners were lost. There were twenty nine survivors.
