Jug, pearlware, standing on a rounded spreading foot-rim, bulbous body, cylindrical neck, beak spout with foliate-moulding to the underside, scrolled loop handle with slightly raised thumb-spur; around the middle of the exterior body a wide yellow ground against which are reserved three round panels enclosed by brown bands, the panels transfer-printed in puce and in-filled in polychrome enamels with to the smaller front panel a group pf flowers and fruit, and to the larger side panels a scene showing a seated female figure offering cherries to a child, the panels surrounded by stylized foliage in brown, the lower body and exterior neck covered in copper lustre and a copper lustre band around the interior lip-rim and spout, a pink lustre edge to the lip-rim, the underside of the spout edged in pink lustre, pink lustre dashes to the handle.
