Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate, soft-paste porcelain with a creamy translucency; standing on a straight sided foot rim, curving into cushion moulded and straight spreading sides; waved lip with six large and six small lobes; painted in enamels in the centre with a landscape vignette of a church, with a man standing with his walking stick in the foreground; gilt border of stylised flower heads and scrolling foliage; plain gilt line and band to cavetto edge, and lip.
