Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Large tin travelling trunk used by David Jones in about 1898, to carry his belongings when he moved from Llanelli to the Rhondda in search of employment in the coal industry. He subsequently worked at Abergorki Colliery in Mountain Ash, and Bute Colliery. He worked in the coal industry until he was 70 years old.
