A base sherd of a Lezoux ware samian bowl of form Dr18/31 or Dr31. The slip is fairly matt and the stamp reads PATR. This is the stamp of Paternus iii of Lezoux.
Likely to date from AD 130- 160 (Trajanic-Antonine).

(Section YZ - across boundary and wall and road kerb. In mixed occupation of silt between boundary wall of road - next above natural clay. P.S. to boundary wall.)
