Early Medieval human remains
These are the moderately preserved remains of an adult who was probably female.
The burial is Unphased
She was buried in a flexed position in a simple grave oriented Southwest-Northeast. This is an uncommon position and orientation. Only 8.5% of Five Mile Lane burials are oriented SW-NE, of those only 3 are male while 13 are female. Only twelve burials are in flexed or slightly flexed positions. SK55 was slightly flexed. She was interred in a supine position with her right leg almost straight while her left leg was bent at the knee and resting atop her right.
